July Monthly Report, Net Worth, and Credit Score Update

July Monthly Report:

Well as you can tell, I didn't do to well in the cc debt area. There was a net increase of $479 bucks. I am moving steadily to my savings goals. Once I reach my initial E-Fund goal I will extend the goal to $7500, which is about 3 months of my expenses. Everything else is on track.

Net Worth:

I have been tracking my net worth since I started blogging back in February. I never posted anything about it because I was a little embarrassed of how much I was in the negative. But I gotta face the music. So here it is:

I also have it on the side bar to the right. So hopefully we can start watching that joker increase.

Credit Score:

Well low and behold my credit score increased this month by 12 points!! YEAHH!!!!!!!!

June Credit Score: 640

July Credit Score: 652

I hope I can reach 700 way before December. I'd like to refinance my car loan and get my $532 car note lowered as much as possible. That way I can take the amount I am saving and redirect to my credit card debt. Or I can continue to pay the $532 and start the process of paying down my car loan significantly.

Alright thats it for me today. A sista is tired. I worked 10 hours today..............*yawns*.....time for some ice cream and a lil tv.

You have 3 credit scores, one from each bureau - Experian, Equifax, and Transunion. Before you make a major purchase (or refinance), I'd recommend checking your real credit scores (FICO) for all 3. You never know which credit report the lender will pull. They should all have the same information, but unfortunately, they don't.

And what the heck are you driving for $532/month?

By the way, it's not scientific, but a collection of experience from various people - here's a resource that could give you an idea of which credit report a creditor will pull before applying for a major loan.

@ single ma

Thanks for the link. My credit scores are so off from each other, at least Equifax is. I just try to go with Experian, which is supposedly the bureau most commonly used in the southeast. I get all three scores from True Credit.

I drive a 2006 Honda CRV. My original loan amount was $25K. I was unexperienced and got taken advantage of when it came to the service plan and my trade-in. Oh well......you live and you learn.

Looking at your networth, what do you consider your personal property?

I know that negative number is bothering you, and its annoying, but everyone has to start somewhere. Look at the progress you've made and not the final number. Keep pushing forward girl, stay focused and you'll be able to keep knocking thos goals down.

@ krystal

Thanks girl. I can't wait till I break into the positive side. I hope my credit score keeps increasing. Can't hit to break 700.

@ saving diva

I consider anything I own personal property. Everything in my apartment from furniture, electronics, computers, to jewelry and a couple of antique things I have. Why? Does my personal property amount to high?

@ rad

Thanks buddy.

Home Purchase Plan - How I faired

Back in January I developed my Home Purchase Plan (HPP for short). I listed exactly what I was looking for in my new home including my needs and wants. I printed up my HPP and carried it will me everywhere. I especially took it with me when I went house hunting with my agent. I had a momentary relapse (I'll explain more on that on another post) but got back on track and stuck to my guns. I ended up with a beautiful house that fits all my needs and wants. HOME PURCHASE PLAN The home I want: Price: $0 -> $190,000 $180,000 Ideal Monthly Mortgage (including taxes, PMI, HOA, & hazard) : $1200 (max $1300) $1310 Location: Surrounding Orlando Area Check Bedrooms: 3+ 4 Bathrooms: 2+ 2 Square footage: 1700 s.f. + 1810 sf Year Built: 2000+ 1998 HOA: $100/month max $150/yr NEEDS: * A-rated school district Check * Quick access to major highways Check * Good daycare Check * Nice

Hey guys. Sorry I haven't posted in a while. Life has been extremely busy. Trying to get used to the extra responsibilities on top of my existing overflowing list. I will try my hardest to post my do's and don'ts of buying a house tonight. Hope all is well.
