How could I forget.....

I don't know why this slipped my mind........

I exceed my Misc budget by $148.81.

Not my fault though. My vacuum broke so I had to buy another. Them jokers are expensive. I bought one for $50. IDENT-A-KID came to my daughter's school and I felt it essential to get some identity cards for my daughter. I got 4 for $15. It was picture month also and this is the only time I have to get new pics of my daughter. I buy professional pics of her each year and we were due. They came out beautifully. That was $80.

See how that wasn't my fault. Things came up. Things I didn't account for in my budget......ok MAYBE my fault a lil.

Anyhoo just want to let yall know.

@ Lisa

I have a small two bedroom apartment so I was didn't need those $200+ deluxe ultra mega vacs with 90 attachments. I went to Biglots and bought myself a medium sized one with one attachment. I still think $50 was wayy to much for a vac. Ugh!
I dont think any of this was your fault. You had no idea your vacuum was going to decide to up and die on you LOL!!! and who can forgo scholl pictures of their lil princess.

At least you didnt get a Dyson. Now THAT would have been your fault! LOL!!!

I received a nice vacuum as a gift a few years ago. However, like Lisa I really want a Dyson...a pink one (I just saw it in Target).

I haven't bought a vacuum in years. I swear, if my daughter didn't have asthma and I didn't have to vacuum EVERYDAY, I probably wouldn't even own one. What you spent wasn't bad though. As long as it gets the job done.

But $80 bucks on school pics? Wow! Times sure have changed. We used to hit up Tarjay or Sears for a $20 package.

@ Single Ma

Girl! And I only bought HALF the total package! Total package of 11 sheets was $169. I bought 5 of them. I let my laziness persuade me to buy the pics. And she looked sooooo cute. But next time I definitely will need to look into other options.

I have a Dyson. I have pets that shed and a kid that drops everything and my vacuum cleaners were getting eaten up like prey. I was tired of replacing them and bought a Dyson...OMG, I love that thing! It gets stuff up that I did not want to know was there. I love it so much I want to send Mr. Dyson a gift for making a vacuum cleaner worth every cent of the money I paid for it. It is not even funny how much I love my vacuum cleaner. Sad, but not even funny.LOL.

Home Purchase Plan - How I faired

Back in January I developed my Home Purchase Plan (HPP for short). I listed exactly what I was looking for in my new home including my needs and wants. I printed up my HPP and carried it will me everywhere. I especially took it with me when I went house hunting with my agent. I had a momentary relapse (I'll explain more on that on another post) but got back on track and stuck to my guns. I ended up with a beautiful house that fits all my needs and wants. HOME PURCHASE PLAN The home I want: Price: $0 -> $190,000 $180,000 Ideal Monthly Mortgage (including taxes, PMI, HOA, & hazard) : $1200 (max $1300) $1310 Location: Surrounding Orlando Area Check Bedrooms: 3+ 4 Bathrooms: 2+ 2 Square footage: 1700 s.f. + 1810 sf Year Built: 2000+ 1998 HOA: $100/month max $150/yr NEEDS: * A-rated school district Check * Quick access to major highways Check * Good daycare Check * Nice...

My $100 grocery budget and tips for saving on your grocery bill

I did a post back in October on how I kept my grocery budget under $120. In that post, I had pictures of the grocery shopping I had done earlier in the day for a total of $29.76. I also listed a number of ways I keep my grocery budget so low. Today I did some grocery shopping for meat and some other misc items. Here is what I bought: - 2 packages of chicken breasts - 2 packages of drumsticks - 2 whole hens - 2 packages of chicken wings - 1 bag of roma tomatoes - 1 bag of onions - 1 bag of organic baby carrots - 2 gallons of water (not shown) - 1 bottle of bbq sauce Total = $24.90 One big way to save on groceries each month is to package the food you buy into servings sizes. Your serving size depends on how many people are in your family. I separate out my sizes based on how much food my daughter and I consume in one meal. Take for instance drumsticks: My daughter will eat one drumstick while I will eat two. So I package those in threes. I know some folks are visual so here is wh...
