Credit Score Update

I haven't done an update of my credit scores in a while. March Scores: Transunion: 659 Experian: 646 Equifax: 616 April Scores: Transunion: 675 Experian: 657 Equifax: 624 I would take credit for the high jumps in my scores but I think the fact that my car loan is not exactly included in my report at the moment may have played a big role. Statefarm shows my car loan as being paid off but there is no account for my credit union showing up. So I basically look like I have $20,000 less than I actually have (debt wise). Oh well........I can bask in the "good" credit light for a little while can't I??

Credit Score Update

Looks like paying more than the minimum on my credit cards is definitely paying itself off. My credit score shot up this month. January 08 Credit Score Transunion: 663 Experian: 660 Equifax: 617 December 07 Credit Scores Transunion: 632 Experian: 627 Equifax: 601 I also closed one of my credit cards in December. That posted to all three of my credit reports and it doesn't look like it had the negative effect to my credit scores as I once thought. My goal is to reach a credit score of 700 by June of this year. Though it seems that I can easily achieve that goal with the first two credit reporting agencies, Equifax is up in the air. Unfortunately, I have one collection from 2002 still showing with them while the same collection account has fall...

Credit Score Update

Last Month: Transunion : 628 Experian : 652 Equifax :590 This Month: Transunion : 643 Experian : 652 Equifax : 617 When I previously posted my credit score updates I would use the middle score. I am going to post all three from now on since there is such a difference between Equifax and the other two. I know I have one collection account still showing on Equifax that was removed from the other two a long time ago. So I believe that is the reason for the huge difference. I am working on getting that removed from my report. Hopefully if my method works and the collection gets removed my score with Equifax will rise. Oh yeah, the collection is paid off. It was from Bellsouth. I disconnected my service with them at the end of my sophomore year in college and supposedly I still had a remaining balance. The rep told me my balance was zero and I moved right after so I never received a bill. Needless to say I didn't find out anything about it until it went to collections and was o...

July Monthly Report, Net Worth, and Credit Score Update

July Monthly Report: Well as you can tell, I didn't do to well in the cc debt area. There was a net increase of $479 bucks. I am moving steadily to my savings goals. Once I reach my initial E-Fund goal I will extend the goal to $7500, which is about 3 months of my expenses. Everything else is on track. Net Worth: I have been tracking my net worth since I started blogging back in February. I never posted anything about it because I was a little embarrassed of how much I was in the negative. But I gotta face the music. So here it is: I also have it on the side bar to the right. So hopefully we can start watching that joker increase. Credit Score: Well low and behold my credit score increased this month by 12 points!! YEAHH!!!!!!!! June Credit Score: 640 July Credit Score: 652 I hope I can reach 700 way before December. I'd like to refinance my car loan and get my $532 car note lowered as much as possible. That way I can take the amount I am saving and redirect to my...

TrueCredit and Confession

I would like to thank SingleGuyMoney for his post on TrueCredit . TrueCredit basically gives you access to all 3 credit reports and all 3 credit scores. They also have other cool features like debt-to-income analysis, available credit, and so on. If you go straight to their site the service is $14.95 a month. But if you go through Walmart Financial Services you can get the same service for $11.21 a month. For $11.21 a month I can monitor my credit report and scores. I think thats a great trade off. *deep breath* I have a confession to make. I have not been on my credit debt reduction game like I should be. I mean I paid down $3000 of it late February when I first began. But I seem to have added an additional $1500 since March. And I can't even tell yall where all that money came from. I have no clue.............well I have a clue but not any one thing I can put my finger on. UGH!! I am so frustrated with myself. I am starting to repeat exactly what I did a year ago....

Credit Score Update

Credit Score as of 5/17/07 (average of all three credit scores): 678 Credit Score as of 6/20/07 (average of all three credit scores): 664 Down 14 dang on points! Ugh! I think those two new accounts I opened up in the last 3 months caught up with me (Discover and Chase). And most likely the extra $1000 I added to my credit card debt in April might have done a bit of damage also. This is why I hate moving. I got stuck paying two rents and all those moving expenses and deposits. I know it will pay off in the log run since I did save myself $300+ a month and now stay in a larger and nicer apartment. Well I need to get back on the ball with that. I have to have the following items in check before I can start home shopping: Get debt-to-income ratio down to under 40%. (currently at 42% ). Get credit limit-to-credit balance ratio under 50% (currently at 39% ) Have a credit score of 750 or higher by August 2007 (currently at 664 ) Have $3000 saved in my Emergency Cash Fund (currently $67...

Credit Score Update

Credit Score as of4/19/07 (average of all three credit scores): 667 Credit Score as of 5/17/07 (average of all three credit scores): 678 11 points in one month. Not bad. Smaller increase then what I have been seeing in the past 4 months but its an increase no less. My goal is to reach 700 was originally by August but I believe I will change that to July. I am only 22 points away so I hope I can achieve that by then. Then I will look into refinancing my car loan. Dimps

Credit Score Update

Credit Score as of 3/21/07 (average of all three credit scores): 644 Credit Score as of 4/19/07 (average of all three credit scores): 667 23 points in one month. I am psyched. My goal is to reach 700 by August. Then I will look into refinancing my car loan. Dimps

CashDuck, Moving, and Finances

Hey there blogger fam. Just wanted to hit you all up before I go ghost for a couple of days. I am moving tomorrow and I will be to busy to be chillaxing on the comp. Until then here is an update on my financial journey: I have made $105 from CashDuck since last night. I only had to shell out $8.95 in shipping and handling fees for some free trial stuff. Not a bad turn around. Needless to say I am very content with the site and the obvious perks.........xtra income and sometimes neat stuff (I bought a pair of sterling silver earrings for $4 in one of the deals). Due to my trip out town for Easter and moving costs I have added an extra $400 to my credit card debt. Yeah yeah yeah. I can hear you all now. LOL. I already knew this month was going to be crazy so I was a little prepared. I had $500 set aside this month to pay on my CC debt (on top of my minimum payments) so I will actually come out $100 on top. So no worries. A tiny set back. But starting in May I will be paying...

My Credit Score

Mean Credit Score on 2/2/07 (average of all three credit scores): 595 Mean Credit Score as of 3/21/07 (average of all three credit scores): 644 Yeah man. 49 points in a month and a half! A sista is happy. :-D

Attacking my Credit Score

LOL!!! Yeah man! I plan on attacking everything. Now for my credit score. I checked today and my credit score went up another 30 points! Wow. Is it that easy? All I did was pay a little more on my minimums. I can't wait to see what it does after all my balance transfers go through in the next few weeks. You know ya girl is happy! Speaking of balance transfers. Advice for anyone who may be thinking of doing the same thing I did on my last post " Attacking my credit card debt ": Cut up ANY and ALL cards that you have transfered the balance of. I cut up ALL my cards except the 2 cards that I transfered my balances to and 1 card for emergency purposes. And that card only has a $300 credit limit. This way I do not use the cards I just paid off and f-up my whole game plan. Now thats a big no-no. I have been doing a lot of research to help myself better understand the world of finance, credit scores, credit cards, credit reports, investments.......the list goes on an...
